Lindholm prefaces this collection by expressing how she feels Megan and Robin are different people, with their own styles, schedules and quirks. Megan lays the core of her stories bare in just a few pages; Robin weaves her themes in and amongst her lengthy prose. However, each of Lindholm's authorial entities write extensively about feminism, bodily autonomy, poverty and misogynistic abuse. They both have that same core, the same motivation.

I think it's fair to say I enjoyed the three works from Robin more than those from Megan. That being said, reading the works from her first pseudonym gave me a glimpse past the page to Lindholm herself. With Robin's works being fantasy, it's easier to separate them from the author and just enjoy the world. Megan, however, lays herself bare. When she writes about living on aid checks, working paycheck to paycheck at Kohl's or driving past roadkill on the highway, I know she's been there. She writes in one of her introductions about her husband reading a story of hers and saying "I remember when that happened." Megan's works feel experimental and not all of them hit the mark, but after reading her work I feel I understand Lindholm more as an author and a person.
