This book was just an excuse for the author to give her opinions on talented musicians and these opinions aren’t necessarily interesting to read. Like why are we acting like we are a music lover and then hating on the other genres of music. Kinda stupid. It was a fast and quick story but that’s all it has going for it. The romance didn’t pull me in because I thought Joe and Percy were annoying. Specifically Percy as a main character was so hard to root for. She’s a cheater and insufferable to listen to and it was so hard to have sympathy for her. I didn’t root for any of the characters aside from Zoe.
But was it fun? Yes, when it’s not pretentiously shoving opinions in your face. That’s where the extra star comes from.
