My favourite of the series so far! Some great quotable moment's in there too such as "Don't gaslight me Jesus!" I love how the series is building and building, with a sense of purpose (even if the author has said none of this is planned out, it's all by the seat of his pants).

The story continues to get better with each book, this one ratchets up the stakes with the wider galaxy plot.

Picks up and setting things up for the future of the series. Really enjoyed this one with the multiple level of concurrent overlapping stories happening.

Good, but the environment is overly complex making it hard to follow at times. Some great moments/payoffs that help keep it all together.

Great follow up to the first book, couldn't put it down!

Really good intro into the series that left me wanting more (thankfully there's another 7 books already available as I write this). I feel like having a good knowledge of gaming culture is needed to get the most out of the book, as there was a lot of 'mechanics' taken from them. Compelling characters, fun situations and plenty of mystery made the book an absolute breeze to get through.

A great continuation of The Captive's War series. Some great character interactions and events that happens, although it falls a bit flat with the lack of resolution of things, but that's somewhat expected with a 2nd entry in a trilogy. Can't wait for what's next!
