this book was so good. i was so scared of not liking it, because i've read one of the author's other books and the story left me disappointed, and the writing didn't help; but with this one i didn't feel that way at all. the plot, the characters and the world building were all very nicely done, and the writing felt on par with everything
i actually thought eli and victor were canonically something, the whole subtext is there, so they are to me, but from the way i saw people talking about this book, i thought it was more explicit.
