This novella goes through Eligor's life before he met Pandora. So everything leading up to it basically. If you read this after the first book, Pandora's Hope then it will really give you the feels and you'll understand the back story. And a few secrets that we don't learn in the first book. So this is a must read after Pandora's Hope! You can't miss it!

This is a fast read that is written very well. I loved the story of Eligor and what he went through to get to Pandora. Love love love!!!

This book and these characters have a chokehold on me. Pandora is a new comfort character because of how relatable she is. She's snarky, funny, and wild. The men in this book will make you fall in love, confuse you, and then make you fall in love all over again. The Big Sins are super funny (in an annoying great way) and hot but I had to remind myself that they are the enemy. They are really well written. I never knew I would ever be interested in a post apocalyptic book but here I am, being obsessed with it. I finished this, and the novella in one day and a few hours. Insane. This is a quick read that will have you hooked from the beginning. I will make this my personality for the next few weeks.



If you like action, romance, independent badass FMC's, a very good plot, and handsome men then this is the book for you! Spice level is a good

I think i'm just in love with this author. And only after reading two amazing standalones. That's how good they are!!

Roman is someone I never knew I needed in my life until I read this book. The flashbacks felt so real there was too many emotions to count.

This book is fantastic. It was very well done. The author sounded very educated on the situations that were in this book. So much so that I could tell what they were feeling. It was very vivid I could picture everything.

I am obsessed with the characters and it was super spicy.

Would recommend this to anyone that likes a good masked man, spice, and plot :)

Thank you for making this emotional rollercoaster that I call an amazing piece of literature.

Thank you to the author, Kalista Neith for giving me the opportunity to read this as an advanced reader (ARC). I enjoyed reading smut on the holidays. If you are looking for a purely smut/spicy (with a few chapters that aren't) book in a fantasy realm with hot vampires and familiars then I would suggest this book.

This book is a compilation of short stories that take place within the fantasy realm she has already created in A Trial of Lace and Bone and her other book Invoking the Blood. I absolutely adore her work and just her in general.

In Whispers in the Dark, it was really exciting to get to read more about all the relationships like the throuples (cause we all love a good why choose) and the different couples within the realm. Like I said, there's a lot of smut. No one got left out, let's just say that! She also put some light plot building for her next book. So keep an eye out for that as well!
I engulfed myself into all these relationships and I need more already.

If you haven't read the first two in the series, I believe it may be difficult to follow along in this book. So on that note, Kalista Neith is an amazing author and all of her books should be read.
