This book is a fantastic emotional journey that perfectly balances sweetness and grit. I loved the "sweet-dark-sweet" rhythm of the plot—it kept me on my toes while still feeling rewarding at the end.
A few things that really stood out were Eden's outlook. She is refreshingly independent. She isn't looking for a man to save or keep her; she’s focused on her own life and goals (which to be honest is a lot of just surviving). Neither was Tyrone. His involvement is incredibly endearing and adds so much heart to the story. The Dog knapping. Seeing Dario embrace his role as a dog dad was a total highlight—it was such a sweet touch to his character development.
