The Mercy of Demons by Candice Wright was a bit of a letdown compared to the rest of the series. While I thought Mercy’s story was great, her backstory felt underdeveloped, and I’m still confused about how she even knew King.
The "psycho" vibe started strong but unfortunately fizzled out, and the other two male leads felt like unnecessary add-ons who didn't serve much of a purpose. The amnesia plot had massive potential but felt thin, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions. Overall, it felt like an anticlimactic "throw everything at the wall" approach that didn't quite stick.
