It's an odd mixture in that there are cuss words throughout the book but the story would fit well in a Disney movie. The challenges faced by the crew are big but they're overcome without any significant effort which took some of the fun away from the experience of reading this.

There was more gore than I anticipated for a hacker/computer virus thriller. And if I'm being super nitpicky, I'd say some of the feats of technology achieved by the daemon are hard to digest.. However, it was tough to put down once I picked it up and was a good read overall!

I had high hopes because of the Goodreads awards nomination but the book is extremely dull. The ideas are recycled and the characters are unrelatable. I had to drag myself to finish and I had to take breaks so that I wouldn't fall asleep. The action and suspense is forced and the dialogue and quotes are cringeworthy.
