This was a super quick read, and loved the characters. I feel like I should've liked it more in hindsight, considering it is essentially a knock-off When Harry Met Sally (down to the uncomfortable road trip from home town to a big city, except backwards, and Poppy's monologue at the end mirroring Harry's in the movie). It didn't wow me like some other Emily Henry books do - but that is more of a preference than anything else. She's a fantastic writer and has swoon-worthy descriptions that really put you in the novel.

This book made me think; really think. The writing is incredible and the story keeps you wondering the entire time. The way things tie together over time is so well done. This might be one of my favorite books.

This book is the primary reason my husband and I decided to try going vegan, and we've been ~90% vegan since then (1.5 years since reading the book). It has a wealth of knowledge and is convincing if you're moved by data!
