Feels very much like a prologue which is why I've always struggled to get through it as a younger reader. In context of the larger journey I'm excited to make my way into the meat of the Dark Tower journey.

Fairly generic grim dark....until it isn't, and drops a huge surprise which made me want to continue with the series...
