WOW.
This book was so captivating. Especially towards then end, I couldn't put it down.
My only regret is that it didn't really have a plot (there was no real goal to achieve, we were just following the protagonists around) and that it dragged a bit (this book was looong). But I'm glad it was worth it.
BECAUSE. This end was so full of action and emotion and omg. I also loved the characters ! It's been so long since I've really felt connected to the characters in a book, ahah.
Also, I ship Dara and Nahri so much like wtf. It's become so rare these day. I'm so happy the way their relationship was built.
I've so much to say about this book (I'll talk about it more on my blog). It was so GOOD. I want the sequel now !
FINALLY. I've finally managed to finish a book. It's been so long, like a whole month, wtf.
This book was a bunch of fun to read.
I didn't really connected to the story at the beginning. Maybe because I read like a chapter every other week (I'm exaggerating but it felt like it). HOWEVER. When I finally put myself together and read the rest of the book in two days, I really got invested in the story. So yeah, I've based the majority of my rating on my current reading mood.
I really liked the twist at the end and the dynamics between the characters were super interesting. Even though there was A LOT of them.
My favorite point of view was Annabeth's. Especially at the end when she nailed everything like a boss. So proud of you girl.
Gosh, I love this series so much. These characters are everything. I missed Mara and Noah so much as well as the creepy atmosphere and the beautiful, addictive writing of Michelle Hodkin.
However, I must admit that this book didn't fully met my expectations. Mainly because of the plot, which was almost non-existent. I felt like this book didn't have a real purpose and that makes me so sad because I loved loved loved the Mara Dyer Trilogy. I wanted so much more.
Also, I found The Becoming of Noah Shaw a little bit confusing at times. But I actually had these same issues with the MDT, so yeah, nothing's new here. That could just be me, though. XD
BUT. Like I said, I'm still a sucker for this series. And being in Noah's head was a pure blessing. He's so snarky and sarcastic and precious. I love him.
The cliffhanger blew my mind. I want a sequel now. But first, I need to re-read the entire MDT because I'm so clueless. Like, all the time. Even with the little reminders of the previous books, it's just been too long since I read them.
Great read. I liked the whole setting and western elements (bloody revenge with lots of shooting and treasure hunt across the desert of Arizona). I wish I read it when I was still on vacation because I wasn't as invested as I wanted to. Such a shame for a book that had this much potential. Also the writing was really interesting, the female narrator spoke like a real cowboy which was so cool!
Actual rating : 3,5/5
The writing was stunning ! A real pleasure to read this book.
I also liked the fact that Xifeng, the main character, was EVIL (she !! ate !! hearts !!). This was actually a retelling of the Evil Queen (in Snow White) and I really enjoyed connecting pieces of the story with the original tale.
Too bad it was a bit slow for my taste. I wish there would have been more action, more places to visit and more DARK MAGIC !
Still, I'm curious about what will happen in the sequel so I'll probably read it. :D
2nd read
I love love the end of this book and what it promises for the next installment. I can't wait to read it!
The second time around, I was more frustrated at how Emika seemed too perfect. And I was disappointed at how the potential of frendship was wasted by Emika having eyes only for HIDEO. But toward the end, she finally asked for help and I really liked that teamwork. I hope it will continue to be that way in the second book!!

Wow, that was amazing. I was a bit reluctant to read this book because I was not a big fan of the author's first trilogy Legend but Warcross definitly exceeded my expectations !
If not for the romance, I would have given it five stars. Emika and Hideo got closer a little bit to quickly for me and they lacked chemestry.
Other than that, the world-building, man. The freaking WORLD. BUILDING. I can't even. It was wonderful and vivid and magical. I could picture it so well. I WANT A MOVIE ABOUT THIS.
Also, I learned a long time ago that we shouldn't trust a character that has disappeared in mysterious circumstances. If we don't see a body, it's because the said character is STILL ALIVE. I knew that Sasuke was Zero the second we learned about him. XD

I love love love Maggie Stiefvater's writing. It's just gorgeous. If it wasn't for her, I think I wouldn't have enjoyed All the Crooked Saints as much as I did. BECAUSE. I'll admit that it was not a particularly exciting read. I actually feel a bit let down by this one... I was expecting to like it more !
The beginning was slow and I struggled to understand what was happening/to remember who was who, etc. It's towards the middle of the book that my interest picked up and I eventually fell in love with the characters. #precious
The setting was great. I really liked the 60s vibes, the dusty desert environment and all the magic and strangeness. I found the system of miracles/darkness/saints unique and captivating (it took me a long time to understand this part, but when I did, I was like woaaaah).
All in all, the wonderful writing saved this book for me as well as the characters. The end was beautiful, too !
I feel like 3 stars is too much and 2 stars is too harsh. So, I'm going with 2,75/5 stars I think...
Anyway, I'm so sad because I was so excited for this book ! Look at the description : it's a sci-fi story about time-traveling. Yay !
Unfortunately, I didn't connect to any of the characters or the plot or anything, really. I also struggled with the made-up curse words. Like, what the hash/haze was that ?
Nope, sorry. I can't.

OF COURSE. Of course it's an absolute, fantastic and epic success. This is Leigh Bardugo we're talking about. I'M LIVING FOR THIS.
I don't give it five stars, though (BUT I WISH) because the betrayal of Jason was not my favorite. Yeah, I keep track of my fav betrayals in books, this is not weird at all. I thought it was a bit far-fetched and too suden for me, even though it's explained that there was clues throughout the story. I found that Jason's motives were weird and I didn't fully understood him. BUT. That betrayal still stung. A LOT. I was rooting for him and Diana...
Trigger warning : child abuse.
This book was so hard to rate. I almost thought that I wouldn't do it. I didn't know in what I was getting into before reading A List of Cages.
I don't know, I just thought it was a light contemporary about two boys struggling in life and finding each other. But, oh boy, was I wrong. It's so much more than that. And definitely not a light read. It's a really heavy, heartbreaking read. I was horrified and scared for Julian and Adam. I cried and laughed and everything in between. Gosh this was a hard book, but I'm glad I read it. It made me think and see the world as ugly and beautiful as it can be.
This is the first book this year that shocked me like this. If not ever. Sure, I read dark, bloody fantasy with torture and stuff. But THIS. This felt so real. So painfully, excruciatingly real. And I'm not okay. This one is going to stay engraved in my mind for a really, really long time.
Actual rating : 2,5/5According to Goodreads, 2 stars equal “it was ok” and this is exactly what I think about this book : it was just ok. There was so so much potential. I mean, look at the premise : it's about a girl who lives in a traveling carnival and who has the ability to create illusions ! And her family is actually made of her own illusions ! Whuuut. AND THEN. One of her family's member is murdered even though he's not supposed to be real. So basically, this book was going to be AWESOME.Unfortunately, I didn't connect to the story nor the characters. It was a bit slow and I felt no tension. I wasn't hooked... A lot of characters died in this book, and I usually LOVE that (no comment, ahah) but I just didn't care about any of them.Overall, I'm a bit disappointed but I did enjoy some things like Luca and his morbid jokes that actually made me laugh because it was so unfunny (it was intended), ahah.I should've stuck to [b:Caraval 27883214 Caraval Stephanie Garber https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1465563623s/27883214.jpg 45697227].

This was so entertaining and funny. I really liked it but not as much as I wanted to. Reading the first few pages, I was certain that I would give this book five stars ! Unfortunatly, I don't know what happened but it didn't end up being a favorite... It's really weird, I have a hard time finding what made me rate this book only three stars, ugh. I guess I just wasn't in the best mood to read The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book because I'm not usually a big fan of short stories. But this little anthologie was really good and refreshing. I really liked the theme explored by these amazing authors because I LOVE villains. An anthology dedicated to villains ?? FUCK YEAH.

(wow, I've just realized that I gave a LOT of 4,5 stars, ahah)
Such a good read. I loved that we got to travel a lot more in Julia Defiant. I wasn't expecting that (maybe because I didn't read the blurb, ahah). The world-building is simply stunning. I love this story and theses characters so much. Witch's Child's series is so unique and refreshing. It's not about a princess who lost her kingdom or about a girl who's in love with some guy ; no, it's about friendship, family and magic and I love the complexity of all this. Can't wait to read the final book !

Well, that was fun ! This was a really good book, I highly recommend it if you like
- pirates (obviously)
- a strong, witty and funny heroine (she's also freaking badass)
- a bit of magic
- romance (yeah, I liked that one for once even though it was a bit rushed) (but still, it was not instalove)

Oh dear...
- Didn't like the characters except Maven because he's evil and he was the most exciting thing that happened in this book (he basically appears during four pages, so...). My hatred goes mostly towards Mare. Ugh. The other characters are just bland.
- Didn't like the plot.
- Didn't like the pace.
- Didn't like much.
Well, this is awkward because I loved Red Queen a whole lot. But this one fell short for me. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ (I should use this smiley more often, IT'S FUNNY)
