See allNot gonna lie, I was a little STUMPED trying to figure out how to start this review.
Ha ha get it? Stump, because of Seth's occupation.
Anyways This short story was so good that it had me a little stumped trying to think of ways on how to write this review. But let me just say, I am at a loss for words! This so amazingly written! I finished it in a day! It definitely had me in my toes wondering what's going to happen next!
For a short story as well, the character and romance development was really well written and I loved how strong and impowering Charlotte is close to the end of the book!!
Abby, you did it again with such an amazing well written story!! I loved this one so much!
Unlike many Romantasy series that usually contains some form of Abuse or domestic violence, I think one thing I really enjoyed from this is that there is no domestic violence or any form of abuse in this book. It was a really nice change and I wished there were more romantasy books like this one!
Very plot heavy and character driven!
When they said this was a slow burn & enemies to lovers- they weren't kidding.
This first book is a basically introduce our main girl and her love interest / enemy - I'm excited to see where their love story starts to unfold in the second book!
There are some parts where it can get pretty slow at times but 95% of the book really had me on the edge of my toes and makes me wanna keep reading to find out what happen next.
“But you've got to decide what matters most—your business or the life you want to build.”
A cute small town love story about second chances and having to choose between money & successful career or turning a new leaf and giving love second try.
It was a fun read! Very short & sweet (no spice) romance book. Love how descriptive the story is and also love our two main characters and their development in the story.
I rated it 4 stars because I feel like it was missing something. But other than that, the book was really good and I'm going to read the other two in this series!

Perfect for Valentine's Day!! Such a cute and sweet Novella! (Note: spoiler at the bottom of this review!)
It was beautifully written and the pace was perfect! The setting of the story was beautifully described! It reminds me of my hometown!
I love the banter & the teasing between Ella & Joe, watching their relationship develop throughout the story. Joe helping Ella out at the Flower Shop and talking like as if they're making up for lost time during their high school days!
Personally, it made me think back at my high school days - being the band geek who fell in love with an athlete but we never got to talk or interacted due to being in different cliques but also different high schools.
Ahem. Anyways back to the review (this is where the spoilers might begin so be)
Can we talk about the fact that Joe started this Charity to honour his grandmother (who was the one started this tradition every Valentine's Day). Talk about a walking green flag!
I also love how Ella flower shop is across the street from her best friend's bakery! Now that's bestie goals!
10/10 would recommend!

Tropes:
Small Town
Black Cat & Golden Retriever
Opposite Attract (Popular Quarterback & Quiet girl)
Cute banter
A fake dating, enemies to lovers trope romance that involves a pop idol and a football player! Talk about a perfect combination!
I love Riley & Jace! The character development and their romance was done beautifully. I think the best way to describe them is “don't judge a book by its cover”.
They are two main characters who thought lived a perfect life in their respective occupations only to find out that their lives weren't as perfect as it seems and the hardship it took for them to get to where they are. I definitely love how their views on each other changes throughout the story.
The writing style was amazing! I can pretty much picture where they are and what they are doing so well because of how descriptive Kate wrote it! Bonus points for short chapters and Dual POVs!
