this book ATE DOWN. From the plot to the morally grey character to the plot from the commentary and the twists. This thriller had so many layers and I was hooked from page 1, and I enoyed every single bit of it. The Hurricane aspect made the story feel tense and then THE ENDING OH MY GOSH- It did one of my favorite things especially with that last chapter. This is a PHENOMENAL debut and I loved hearing commentary about the Indian culture and especially about divorce!
2.5 i have loved everything I have read from this author but this one was nothing special at all I feel like I have seen the story 100 times. 1 of the twist was unique. but at that point I really didn't care. This book also would give us information WE ALREADY KNEW so many times like 1/4 of the book was this and it aggravated me. I will continue to read whatever this author comes out with because of The Maidens but this one was a massive disappointment
i LOVED this book so much. Going into it I was skeptical because usually I am not a Fantasy reader at all and this one had me intrigued throughout the whole entire book and I actually cared about the main character and the dragons as well. I definitely will be reading the sequel and more fantasy in general. Overall I am so happy I read this one!
this was everything I needed, I was invested from page 1 and there were some scenes I was actually scared about and that never happens. I felt like I was right there in the story and I love each interview and how it was always from a different perspectives and THAT ENDING was icing on the cake for me and I loved how it was able to pull the story together. I absolutely loved this book and the amusement park setting.
this book was one of the most addicting books I have ever read I stayed up until 5am reading it until I couldn't anymore and let me just say this is a new all time favorite for me and a top tier book and everything about this story worked for me and this was the best reading experience I could've asked for and not to mention the MC had me DYING at times because she was hilarious and I love how different she was from other characters. I recommend this book with every ounce in my body
This book was PHENOMENAL the chapters are long and there are only 6 of them but I read this in a day and at the end of each chapter there was a huge plot twist after every single one and I couldn't put the book down and the ending had my JAW ON THE FLOOR and i had an amazing time with this book and it was executed amazingly
i just dont think this book was for me. i LOVED The Last Word but this just didn't feel the same. I didn't like much of the book and when it was good it was just fine. I predicted one of the twist but the rest were shocking. Its action packed and I liked the main character but I just felt like it didn't have a wow factor for me so unfortunately i wasn't a big fan.
This book was PHENOMENAL. It was a bit slow in the first half but I didn't mind. This has got to be one of the best last half of a book I have ever read it went into a direction which I absolutely was over the moon about and it answered the questions I had in the first half. I just absolutely loved the way this story went and I found the main character to be absolutely loveable and her point of view was so fun to read from and she lowkey may be one of my favorite main characters I have read from. I definitely plan to read more from Rachel Harrison because this was phenomenal. I am so happy I have had 3 back to back to back 5 stars!
i read this book in less than 24 hours I couldn't put it down I didn't predict any of the twist or the killer and i definitely thought I had it all figured out. This book was so entertaining and some of the characters had me laughing so hard. I enjoyed this book so much and I am definitely gonna read more from May Cobb because this book was amazing
i could not rate this book 5 stars the concept was one of the most unique i have read. some reasons i gave it 5 stars:
a. i enjoyed every page of this book and how theplot unfolded was perfect paced
b. the commentary on grief maybe the best i have read in a book and it really stuck to me on how grief was portrayed in this book.
c. how it was written as well i dont want to say much about this but it was written so uniquely and i feel like some authors wouldn't be able to hit the nail on the head but Ashley Hutson did and I absolutely love this book so much and now I am gonna recommend it to everyone.
