The bread of this book sandwich is some of the best you'll find, but ultimately, I'd rather just have toast.

Brooks's opening diagnosis and ultimate conclusion are a 5-star read on their own, but for me, the middle contained more fat than I wanted to chew.

While I might argue with Comer over some of the finer points (particularly in the opening chapters), overall I found the book to be a helpful and encouraging guide to anyone wanting to know what it looks like to follow Jesus.
