i knew it was phil from the jump

my favorite part was when she had lesbian sex and then wanted her husband to suffer

i’ve got a crush on willa

it got a little boring about halfway through, so i switched to audiobook. it was okay

lemme start by saying i’d do anything for anne hathaway lol so once i heard the film adaptation was coming out with her in it, i said “fiiiiiine ill read a colleen hoover novel”

i have…mixed feelings about this. the story is really good. it had mad potential to be F*cked Up™ and it definitely had its points where it was striving for that.

but the writing……….the writing was so so soooooo bad. it got incredibly repetitive around 70-80% of the way and i also agree with what some reviewers are saying: the sex scenes did nooooot need to be in there. if this book leaned more into the psychological thriller aspect in place of the “romance,” this could have been a really great book

the plot twist at the end was unexpected and i’m still not sure what i believe. so i guess that’s good? that’s the biggest reason for the 2 stars

i’m still gonna go see the movie cause i love anne hathaway lmao but this book wasn’t anything special
