One of the most amazing books I have ever read.

True, the history is sketchy, as Starhawk herself acknowledges in the notes. But it still really holds up as an excellent source of theaology and practice in the Reclaiming Tradition (which was not yet a tradition at the time this book was written, of course).

I just couldn't get through it, honestly

Well written, and I appreciated the ending, but I think it was just a bit too grim for me this year.

I consider it one of the great misfortunes of my life to have read Tess of the d'Ubervilles.

Beautiful and highly regarded translation of a critical Mahayana text.

Beautiful, tragic classic.

Distressing, but great. Well written and engaging, and a quick read. Couldn't read it before bed though. 😅

Reflective and odd. Not a page turner, but enjoyable. Good bedtime read.

Engaging, disturbing body horror, quick read. Very good.

On paper, as it were, I should have enjoyed this. I think it was the narration that killed it for me: the voices for the protagonist and his mom just came off kind of whiny or something. I don't know, I just couldn't keep making myself go back to it!

Classic, great read. Some parts maybe a little sloggish–based on those bits, this is a great audiobook candidate.
