This book is amazing, it's also emotionally rough, like really dark. I seriously suggest that you read the tw's before you read it. There were a few times I had to put it down and cry, but it was such a great story I always picked it back up. I got sucked into this story. Although, fortunately, my life wasn't at the level of McKinnley's, it was close enough that I felt her pain like it was my own. What messed up girl doesn't want a world famous rock star to save her and love her? Jett is a lead singer and major player. When he sees the girlfriend of a dude from his opener he feels something he doesn't understand and can't explain, but he wants to make her his. He does some pretty shady stuff to make that happen.
Just when you think “wow, this is way too soon for the HEA”, something incredibly unexpected and heartbreaking happens that shatters everything. I wasn't sobbing, you were sobbing! Will they find their way back to each other? If they do will McKinnley even be able to handle the relationship? Will Jett put up with someone with so much past trauma? There are so many twists and turns in this book that it is not boring or drawn out for one single sentence, 5 well deserved stars. Also, it's filthy as heck, hotness and smexy time abounds! I was lucky enough to read an advanced copy of this book for free, but as soon as I can, I'm buying it for my permanent collection. I'm leaving this review because I love sharing books that I love with my other sick girls! I'm really looking forward to her best friend Mia's story in the next book!!!
So many MC stories out there, lots of them seem like they just put the billionaire on a bike or something. This story is great, I think it really does a great job of portraying a club and the guys that are part of it. Riley finds out who her Dad is, after he unalives. After years of her Mom telling her bad things, she had no desire to every meet him. Alone and homeless, she gets a letter from a lawyer along with some money, basically telling her there's more where that came from. Curiosity about her Dad and his life, along with the possiblity of not having to live in her car has her deciding to go deal with his final affairs. She meets Savage/Cam and sparks fly. Lots of character building and drama, mystery, violence and smexy time. End in a cliffy, can't wait for the next book!!! I got an advanced review copy of this book for free, but whatever, I would have downloaded in on KU for free anyway, so I promise my review is honest! LOL
Jackie goes to college, cheers and works multiple jobs to get by, when she runs into the same strange man multiple times, her life changes forever. That's just the beginning of the book! Jackie is a strong, empowered FMC who I absolutely love. I felt like I took a journey with her through both the worst and best times of her life. I found myself crying more than once, yelling out loud and first pumping throughout this book. At the heart of it all is a woman who can take care of herself but deserves to love and be loved. FYI... I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I would have bought it regardless!
Short summary: a librarian who lives a simple, boring life crosses paths with a smexy man at a masquerade party and sparks fly, but little does she know where it will lead. Running for her life, the FMC is funny, caring and way more street smart than she appears. Chasing her down, the MMC is hot, rich, alpha and deeper than he first appears. The book builds her up while it tears him down, in the best way possible. Their chemistry is off the charts and smexy time is fan yourself hot. Great read that had me cheering for both of them and I will be impatiently waiting for book 2!! I love a book series, but I also hate them, cliffies are the worst! LOL. Mainly because I am going to lose it until I know what happens next!! Wow! This book is crazy good. I love nothing more than a good serial unaliver stalker “romance” but this one took it one step further. I had a couple of sleepless nights, but not because it disturbed me, because it was so good I didn't want to go to sleep and I kept reading it. I don't even want to say anything about the story cuz I don't want anything to spoil any part of the story for somebody that might want to read it. It's super well written, the personalities of the main characters are complicated and wonderful and scary and sad. The reasons why they both are the way they are slowly unravel throughout the story. So many twists and turns, just when you think you know, you don't. Plenty of triggers and darkness but you probably wouldn't be reading this review if you didn't like darkness. I cannot suggest this book enough!!!
I received an advanced review copy of this book for free, but that doesn't matter as I would have just gotten it on KU. I've just recently gotten into this genre, omegaverse I think it's called. This is now one of my favorite books, this genre or outside of this genre. The story is so well written, an Omega is pressured by her family to mate with a pack, when things don't go as she thought they would, it's heartbreaking. For me, it was, this book made me cry multiple times! I could feel her pain in my own heart, was angry and worried and happy and just about every other emotion throughout the story. It was a great read and I stayed up way too late 2 nights in a row to finish it. Great read, wonderful story!!
No spoilers, but I will say this one has some major triggers. Please make sure you read the TW's first, NC is pretty prevelent. When Leni's HS tormentors go from just bullies to step-brothers, the reality is so much worse than her imagination. I figured this would be your typical HS rolling into College WC but it was not what I expected at all. This one is not a romance. I'm pretty hardcore when it comes to books, but I even had to put it down a few times. I promise, even if you need to skip a few paragraphs or pages to make it through some of the rougher scenes, the end is worth it. That's about all I can say without spoilering anything LOL. Great book, rough read from an emotional perspective, but man the story is solid. I did get an advanced reader copy of this book for free, but I'm not afraid to be honest in my reviews, as you should have just read LOL.
One of the best ooc fanfic stories out there! Jasper/Bella love fest! This has been one of my favorite stories for years and I've read it multiple times. Jasper was never with the Cullens, Bella isn't some flaky moron and the entire Cullen “family” is shown for what they are, a crazy cult with a sociopath for a “father”. From the first paragraph this story will draw you in and you won't want to do anything else until you are done reading it!!! PoorlyKnitted is an awesome author and created my favorite Jasper in the never ending fanverse! Disclaimer... Twilight and all its characters belongs to Stephanie Meyer, our vampire goddess. We're just lucky enough that we have such amazing authors to rewrite history the way we want to see it!!
Book 2 in the Riley Siblings series, I finished book one yesterday and book 2 today! First, FYI, I'm lucky enough to be on A.K.'s crew so I got an advanced review copy. I gave this book 5 stars because there wasn't an option for 6. I figured there was no way the 2nd book could be as good as the first one, boy was I wrong! The story continues with another Riley brother, Knox. Knox is a MMA fighter who is close to retirement. He lost his last fight, and his belt, to some jerk and he wants to fight one last time to go out on top. A wicked shoulder injury during the last fight and his inability to not punish his body by training has made it iffy on if he will even be able to fight, let alone win. His awesome Mom forces him to go to a Dr. that she sees who is a specialist in all kind of different therapies. Hazel is an insecure, double doctorate, sweet as pie woman and it's everything BUT love at first sight for the two of them. Turns out, they already know each other after 5 years of being online friends, who won't admit to each other that their feelings are stronger than friendship. If you read my reviews, you know I don't do spoilers, so I'll just say that this book is quick! I couldn't put it down because every single chapter was awesome! Knox is a dumb arse, like most men, and does a great job of sabotaging their potentially HEA, but in the end.... Well I just said I don't do spoilers, so just go read the book! OMG being an ARC reader is so awesome, I'm off to read the third book now!
