DNF at 50%. This book is just horrendously bad with writing at roughly a 5th-grade level. I have nothing good to say.

Definitely an interesting read filled with a lot of information I wasn't aware of as it feels like a pretty forgotten time in history. I just wish the overall story was told in a more engaging manner. Still a very quick, easy read that you can knock out in an evening.

This book was just so lovely. All of the characters are charming, the setting is delightful, and the plot whisks you along on a magical, little journey. A+ work.

This series just has the feel of something that’s going to be absolutely epic. Really enjoying the world that’s been built and all the little snippets of info we’ve gotten about it. Very excited to see where the rest of this goes.

I think this being Sanderson’s first novel really shows. Not necessarily in the contents or the prose itself, but it some of the pacing and rhythm of the book. That being said, it’s still a very enjoyable read with a unique and engaging plot. Absolutely worth a read for his fans.
