I honestly did really enjoy it. I was looking for something dystopian and somewhat psychological and it definitely quenched my thirst for that. I do think that from the time they graduated until the climax at the end, it did get very slow and it was extremely easy to put down and not pick back up for a few days at those parts. I'm sure it was a creative choice on purpose so I can't fault the book for that but overall it was an interesting concept with good character development.

I read this a while ago and just wanted to write a review to say that this book has stuck with me ever since and will always stick with me. I look for it in every piece of dystopian literature I read. Incredible book and truly a classic.

I think that the narrator being death itself made this book feel much older than most other novels in the YA genre, which I enjoyed tremendously. I never was assigned this book in school but reading it now, I'm glad I wasn't. I was able to take my time with this incredible story and was able to feel everything I was meant to feel from it.
