This is the 9th floors, the Faction War, has officially begun! Culmination of many plots that started in the book 1, this book served as a yet another thrilling continuation of Carl and Donut adventure, now compounded with the involvement of the 'outworlders', the NPCs, and other parties you'll be surprised involved!

What i like the most about this series is the character progression, these crawlers are not monolith, and we grew alongside with them, especially for the side characters! This Inevitable Ruin is a must read for all LitRPG out there! Even with my background as a hard sci-fi readers, DCC offers unique experience. The narrator surely nails and enhance the book reading.

Love it.

The individual characters' story, their progression, and the introduction of how the world worked are all surprisingly smooth. I enjoy reading it, and as a hard sci-fi reader, i thought i'm going to be disappointed. But all the stories do make up for the non hard scifi part.

Recommended, will read the sequels.
