Author Bio

A graduate of the University of Bologna in Physics, he earned his PhD at the University of Padua. He has worked at the Universities of Rome and Pittsburgh, and for the Center for Theoretical Physics at the University of the Mediterranean in Marseille. He introduced the theory of loop quantum gravitation, currently considered the most accepted theory in physics.
He has also devoted himself to the history and philosophy of science with the book "What is Science? Anaximander's Revolution" (2011). His other books include "What is Time? What is Space?" (2010), "Reality is Not as It Appears. The Elementary Structure of Things" (2014), "Seven Brief Lessons on Physics" (2014), "Helgoland" (2020), and "General Relativity" (2021).
