Isaac Bashevis Singer

Isaac Bashevis Singer was a Jewish author, essayist, memoirist, and translator. He was born in Poland and immigrated to the United States in 1935. Singer wrote primarily in Yiddish, but later translated his own works to English. He received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1978.
