Lindy West

Lindy West is the co-host of the comedy podcast Text Me Back and the author of the e-mail newsletter Butt News. She has published three books: Shit, Actually: The The Definitive, 100% Objective Guide to Modern Cinema, as well as the New York Times bestselling memoir Shrill: Notes from a Loud Woman and the essay collection The Witches Are Coming. Her most recent book, Adult Braces, was released in March 2026.

Lindy is a former contributing opinion writer for the New York Times and her work has appeared in This American Life, The Guardian, Cosmopolitan, GQ, Vulture, Jezebel, and others.
