Matthew Reilly

Matthew Reilly, born in Sydney in 1974, is an internationally bestselling author known for his high-octane action thrillers, with over 8 million copies of his novels sold worldwide. After facing initial rejections, Reilly self-published his debut, Contest, in 1996, which led to a two-book deal with Pan Macmillan and the breakout success of Ice Station in 1998. His works, including Seven Ancient Wonders, Scarecrow and the Army of Thieves, and The Great Zoo of China, have topped Australian bestseller lists and attracted Hollywood attention, with several projects optioned by major studios. Beyond writing, Reilly is a pop culture enthusiast, owning a DeLorean DMC-12 and a life-sized Han Solo in carbonite, and currently resides in Los Angeles.
