Author Bio

A young Russian author and illustrator, Stepan Razorënov rose to international prominence with his hand-drawn project Sander’s Second Life (La Seconde Vie de Sander), catching the attention of the prestigious Italian publisher Hollow Press.

His talent was officially recognized in 2025 when he won the prestigious Gran Guinigi Award for Best Screenplay at the Lucca Comics & Games festival, one of the world's most demanding comic book events, for Sander’s Second Life, Book 1.

A great admirer of Tolkien, Razorënov possesses a rare ability to construct deeply immersive, surreal worlds filled with grotesque creatures and blood-red skies where imagination becomes a hypnotic landscape. In Sander’s Second Life, he delivers a dark fantasy that serves as a dense political and moral descent into hell. His highly detailed, immediate visual signature perfectly captures a raw and beautiful strangeness.
