Author Bio

Wayne McLoughlin is a welsh artist who had developed an early interest in nature - this interest not only encouraged him to explore his environments in London but also the USA, Canda, and South Pacific. Much of his interest in nature, helped contribute to his interest in art and he used this interest to record his experiences in sketches and paintings. He completed a dual major at San Diego State University in fine art and anthropology, and was hired to photograph tribal life ranging from Hawaii to New Guinea for the college textbook "anthropology today" produced by CRM Books.

He spent much of his early years traveling with his wife during which he worked in television and commercial design while overseas, before eventually becoming an illustrator in the early 1970s. It was during this dedication to illustration that he created for a multitude of projects ranging from various magazines including "Field & Stream" and "National Lampoon", the former he edited for, for over 14 years; to scientific publishing and institutions such as the national geographic society, and even was commissioned for campaigns and projects by major corporations including Disney, CBS, Mastercard, Texaco, AT&T, and Adidas. Several of Mcloughlin's pieces through the years have become award-winning and have been included in various books and publications on animals and nature. Much of McLoughlin's experience as a hunter, fisher, and explorer contributed to and inspired his writing and artwork.

Prior to his death, he lived in USA, on Tuesday, July 7th, 2015, at the age of 71, he passed away.
