This wasn't as scary as Junji Ito's previous work, but I still stan him regardless. Each one shot revolves around Mimi and if I were Mimi I would move far away from Japan. Slight spoilers ahead.

The Woman Next Door - Definitely scary but ended rather quickly, maybe I missed something but we never truly discover what the case is for the “woman” next door. Was she a transformer? Robot in disguise? The build up was great the ending lacked big time.

Sound of Grass - Spooky but no resolution. Who was the woman? What was falling in the grass?

Graveman - I found this one to be funny. Mimi leaves one apartment after having a transformer as a neighbor, only to have some narcissistic dude thirsty for the attention of some ghosts. He clearly needs to be on instagram.

The Seashore - Who / What was the woman? This was another one that ended without fully resolving the issue. Are people who go to that beach just going to die? This got spooky towards the end where we see the photos that were took.

Just the Two of Us - Why did the mother kill herself? Did they explain that? Spooky but predictable.

The Scarlet Circle - This one really should have been expanded more. I really wanted to know what went on beyond the circle. At this point Mimi should have packed her things and left Japan.

The stories were good but it could have been better if expanded more. A lot of things just ended suddenly with no real explanation.
