The world's bestselling detective series has never been more suspenseful. Trapped in deadly showdowns, courtroom trials, and dangerous secrets, the Women's Murder Club must fight for their lives.
In a deadly late-night showdown, San Francisco police lieutenant Lindsay Boxer fires her weapon and sets off a dramatic chain of events that leaves a police force disgraced, a family destroyed, and Lindsay herself at the mercy of twelve jurors. During a break in the trial, she retreats to a picturesque town that is reeling from a string of grisly murders-crimes that bear a link to a haunting, unsolved case from her rookie years.
Now, with her friends in the Women's Murder Club, Lindsay must battle for her life on two in a trial rushing to a climax, and against an unknown adversary willing to do anything to hide the truth about the homicides-including kill again?

For someone who has never read a James Patterson novel before I read the first women's murder club novel I have to say I am hooked.
Book 4 didn't disappoint, more from the endearing Lyndsey Boxer and her friends - although in this book it was nice to see the format change a little as Lyndsay moved to the little town of Half Moon Bay and the girls features a little less in the storyline.
My only criticism of the book is it seemed that the initial storyline of Lyndsey shooting the two teens seemed to suggest it would be a big feature of the book and it actually petered out to very little consequence - I felt it could have been further brought back in at its conclusion.
Am I absolutely gripped by these books - absolutely and cannot wait to move into number 5. Compared to Dan Browns tedious Inferno this book actually was smoking hot
This time James Patterson teamed up with Maxine Paetro. And I have to say that I really liked this one. I would like to have had more interaction with the Cindy and Claire (you know, the Women's Murder Club). I was also expecting a bit more mourning Jill. But all and all, I liked the book.
This was a pretty good book and had my interest the whole time. I was kept guessing about who the killers were. James Patterson never fails to keep things exciting.
