I freakin' loved this! [a:Jeffery Self 6475432 Jeffery Self https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1468049699p2/6475432.jpg] beat [a:E.L. James 4725841 E.L. James https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1308409727p2/4725841.jpg] at her own game. He succinctly told the same story but via Alex who is way funnier than Anastasia. In fact his sense of humor approximates the Ana from the movies which was a huge improvement. By making the story shorter he packs a bigger punch and as a bonus this was an audio by [a:Iggy Toma 13543759 Iggy Toma https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png] who merits a full star if not more for me. If you want to have some fun and not take things too seriously you'll have a blast with this which isn't quite a parody of [b:Fifty Shades of Grey 10818853 Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) E.L. James https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1385207843s/10818853.jpg 15732562] but more like an homage that riffs on and is better than the source material and still manages to deliver a credible Hollywood romance complete with HEA and an empowered Cinderella palatable to our modern era. Alex gets his dream job in NYC all on his own and doesn't back away from it in order to be with his silver screen idol.Have a cocktail and plug in your ear buds. You won't be sorry. ;-)
