Enter Souma's dad! Or rather a re-entry. His father pays him a surprise at the dorm. Turns out his father was both an alum of the school as well as the dorm, and his father was a former second seat of the Council of Ten Masters. We get to know of some more backstory between father and son. Also, the Autumn Elections was announced, where promising first years are pitted against each other to determine who are the best upcoming cooks - enter a new rival for Souma - Hayama Akira.
