The quaterfinalists of the Autumn Election has been determined. Great highlights of cooking approaches and skills, as well as character building for many of them. Of interesting note is an interlude story where Souma and Megumi get roped by Satoshi Isshiki into becoming substitute cooking teachers for children. This wasn't in the anime at all, and it was a pity that it wasn't, because I believe it serves to strengthen the relationship between Souma and Megumi. There's also another side story at the end, where we see the Nakiri cousins, Erina and Alice, visit a public pool (for “commoners” smirk). It's obviously for fan service, but we get to know about their sisterly relationship.
