In the past I have enjoyed sharing Bible related books from Juliet David, but this is a fun little book. The perfect square size to sit on our shelves next to our treasuries (like Biscuit, Marley, Lyle, Fancy Nancy and others) this book of “99 Stories from the Bible” is attractive to the eye and already my children pick it up by choice. The illustrations are vivid and brilliant and help to tell a good story. Overall this is a “happy” version of Bible stories as most of the scary or sad stories are left out, although the crucifixion is shown. It is a good introduction from Candle Books for the youngest generation to start a firm foundation of faith in the Bible.
