I just finished A Fatal Groove by Olivia Blacke and here is my review
The mayor has been murdered and the Jessup sister's are in the thick of it. Tansy is the one who brewed the coffee that killed him and Juni is the one who discovered the body.
This isn't what they were expecting when they opened sip and spin records.... The Jessup's don't take this lying down and get their sleuthing on to see who really killed the mayor but can they do it before Juni ends up in jail?
This is book 2 of the record shop mysteries and it doesn't get much cozier than this! I will say it works just fine as a standalone if you haven't read the first book.
I love the sisters! They are quick witted and I loved how much they bantered. I love books set in a more small town and it was a super cute whodunnit. The pace is a bit slower than I normally like but it was a nice change of pace for me. Love love love the idea of a record shop and cafe! So cool!
The treasure hunt was a nice touch and I did enjoy the book immensely! It definitely put me in the mood for more cozy mysteries. I did like the ending and it was a good easy read for a weekend day.
4 stars! Will definitely be checking out the next installment!
