"Are you well?" He asked. Her chest rose as she took as breath, studying him just as intently as he watched her. She was beyond anything he had ever imagined for himself - beautiful and gracious, far too good for the things he had done in his many lifetimes, and yet she remained, a steady light at his side - a beacon he could follow through the dark. It was in these quiet moments when he felt most overwhelmed by his love for her. "You haven't slept." Her voice was a whisper that slid over his skin. It made him wan, which felt wrong. "No," he said and rose to sit, angling so that he could look upon her face. Her face was flushed and her eyes were too bright, an indication that she had drawn upon her magic as she had dreamed. Hades brushed his thumb along her cheek and her eyes fluttered closed, as if his touch brought her a sense of comfort. The thought made his heart beat erratically. There was power in how she made him feel, and she was the only one who had ever possessed it"--

Personally, I think this is the strongest book out of both sagas. Seeing how the Olympians and gods interact with and adapt to (or don't) the modern world has always been my favorite, and there's plenty of that in this.
When you tell the same story from a different point of view, it can be challenging. Hades and Persephone's story arcs are independent enough that there's plenty of space for this to feel fresh.
The action scenes were well done and dramatic.
This book includes chapters from multiple characters, and while I normally dislike changing that so late in a series, it felt natural and was necessary for this book to feel complete.
The only downside I can think of is that you get stuck with the same cliffhanger twice, but that's kind of part of the fun isn't it?
