I love this series and the fourth book is a worthy edition that expands the world, the story and the characters in surprising ways. The unique photographs, the time travel and the strangeness of it all are still present, but the kids are growing up and with that comes a lot of challenges. I thought Ransom Riggs handled the growing independence, the consequences of decisions and actions of the children so well and it felt so real and true - a breath of fresh air in YA that seems to be filled with endless love triangle dramas. In A Map of Days friendships and relationships are challenged in ways that felt very real and genuine and although there were a few parts I felt were slow, it was the changing dynamics of the group and expanding world that kept me reading. Very glad to have more Miss Peregrine's books-to read, and with that AMAZING ending it looks like more are on he way! If they are anything like A Map of Days, we're in for a treat!
