This book is just chef's kiss for me.
Plot driven historical fiction with well imagined characters, descriptive (but not drawlingly so) place settings, and an overall cozy vibe that just warms you up. I have read dozens of YA books about WW2 from the holocaust piece and they're important and gut wrenching. All the same, it's nice to see the Blitz imagined so well here.
Definitely shed a few tears toward the end of this one. Would be great optioned to film.
