This book seemed to float along at the whim of the tides and I loved it because the characters were interesting. Then somewhere in the middle the characters got less interesting and the whole thing got way too wordy. I started to give up hope, but I wanted to finish it. And I am so glad that I did. The story picked up again and the lovely characters returned.

There were times that it was too explicit. At other times too wordy. And at times too convenient. None of those made me stop reading it, but it did keep me from rating it higher.
