Much like season 3 of You, I couldn't look away. A fun, quick read that highlights the slippery slope of trying to keep a secret, especially when 4 million dollars is involved. Slightly disappointed with how it ended, but I understand why it did end that way. Overall, a good read.
It gives Walter white vibes.
Just like in breaking bad the evil of what he does consistently getting worse just made me so mad and sad that I just couldn’t enjoy the book. I stress out reading stuff like this. But clearly it was well written to give me these emotions. Hence the 2 stars even though I hated reading it haha. The only character I liked was Jacob who in my eyes is the Jesse pinkman but I mainly felt pity for Jacob. So once again no good emotions. I like some variety.
I already knew the Sam Raimi film adaptation was a banger but this was an absolutely incredible read! Just harrowing from start to finish.
Nice story about how plans to make off with some found loot go awry.
