The mystery of the Crow Folk's origin is finally solved as the search for a missing prince and a perceived betrayal in the Otherworld send Liobhan, Dau, and Broc on separate journeys that converge at the book's conclusion. I wasn't happy that lovers Liobhan and Dau were apart for 90% of the story, and Marillier used a few too many new POVs (including one from a bad guy) that contributed to a somewhat disjointed reading experience. But we get to see Blackthorn and Grim from [b:Dreamer's Pool 17305016 Dreamer's Pool (Blackthorn & Grim, #1) Juliet Marillier https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1396748896l/17305016.SY75.jpg 23963283] et al, and the book's conclusion is genuinely moving, magical, and satisfying. I see the potential for another series centered around a minor but important character, but whether Juliet Marillier goes in that direction or a completely new one, I'll be ready and waiting.
