A Story Spun in Scarlet

Unfortunately I really enjoyed the description and premise of the story, however I just found it very difficult to keep focus and engaged with the book.
I understand that there needs to be world-building and it needs to be built up, however I couldn't push through it and DNF'd at Chapter 16.
