A Taste of Seduction

2016 • 283 pages

Some spoilers ahead.

While the graphic sex was toned down quite a bit from the last book, I am finding that the story with the villainess to not be as satisfying as I thought it would be. First, she is showing signs of remorse for parts of her plan that were unintended, like Marisa's accident, which turned out in her favor. If I were this villain, I would not be wavering in my plans now. However, I supposed it could be an act, seeing as to how we do not yet know what Isobel's part in the story yet is.

I liked Evangeline and Hadley, however I feel like there was not enough story between the gunshot, and when he showed her the letters. It was simply, oh I was wrong. Okay, I was expecting a little more drama, little more depth in the feelings there. But I didn't get that, so I was left with a little disappointed.

I also liked that Hadley was protective of Augustus, but obviously being the hero of this book, he would be.
