It was good to visit Emerald Cove again. I don't think we saw any new places, but we did revisit several from the last book, so we get to know those places better.
Chloe gets herself into some laugh out loud situations in this one, at least I laughed out loud. Boone's arrogant father shows up and brings a whole pile of trouble with him. It was good to see Vivi and Chloe team up to give him what he deserves. We see Anne, Joaquin, and Micheal helping out again. I liked getting to know them better.
Her relationship with Rhett is developing fairly reasonably. I do think he is entirely too secretive and brings a lot of trouble on himself because of that, but I would rather the relationship go slow than to be instalove.
The skeleton brings up an old mystery that affects several people in Emerald Cove. There are lots of twists and turns before they get to the answer. And the answer is a bit complicated. Even now I'm not sure I understood it all, but that's just a good reason to read this one again!
