We need more books about children's allergies and the difficulty to say goodbye to your pet friends. I loved the first part of the book, but disagreed with the second part.
The golden fish had to go through a lot of very stressful and dangerous situations (brought to a movie theater, pulled to a tree house, transported in a cart on the street). It is not presented this way, but there would have been a high chance for this fish not to survive so much stress. I didn't feel like Aaron was taking a good care of the fish.
