Listened to this on a plane ride to Japan.
Was disappointed it was just anecdotes and very few bits of useful information about traversing Japan. A few cultural faux pa's but nothing terribly substantive.
It's an autobiography of a young man with a slightly interesting life. Loved the YouTube channel. not impressed by the book.

A thorough history of Chris' time in Japan but the puns and sarcasm can almost be timed as to when it'll pop up in his writing. Made it like watching an extended version of one of his YouTube videos on Abroad in Japan. Wasn't bad, but could use some work. 3.5/5
As always, Chris brings his sense of british humor to telling his story of starting out in Japan. If you're a fan of his Abroad in Japan channel, then I highly recommend this. He provides background and insite into not only where he started with youtube, but how he made the land of the rising sun into a place he can call home.
From one anxious person to another, 100% agree that sometimes you just gotta push through the anxiety and do the thing, whatever it is.
