Noah was a pretty interesting character, but never really developed that much (although I think we were supposed to think that he did). The other characters were not really developed either.
The story was ultimately predictable, but still well-written. It was a comfortable book to read.
There was a promise of a mystery, but I don't know what it is was supposed to be (since everything was developed in the first chapter).
