Releer este libro después de 15 años ha sido un ejercicio bastante interesante, a pesar de recordar de manera general la trama había olvidado muchos de las situaciones y las criaturas/personajes con las que Alicia se enfrenta. Acompañar a nuestra protagonista durante esta aventura es algo super gracioso, en ocasiones reflexivo y siempre incoherente.

Existen muchas teorías del significado detrás de esta historia; que es una parodia de las matemáticas modernas, que habla de la idea/existencia de Dios, que representa el tiempo y la naturaleza de la realidad o que simplemente es una interpretación de como ven los niños el mundo confuso de los adultos.

Cualquiera que sea el mensaje que Carroll intentaba transmitir el mejor consejo que les puedo dar es LEAN UNA VERSION ANOTADA, muchos de los detalles, referencias y el humor de este libro requieren el entendimiento del contexto social e histórico de Inglaterra en los 1870s. La realidad es que esta historia puede tener una interpretación personal tan sencilla como uno quiera o tan compleja como investigues.

En conclusión, un clásico que vale totalmente la pena y uno de mis absolutos favoritos. Es una historia que crece contigo y que estoy segura traerá otros significados cuando la relea en unos años.

Rereading this book after 15 years has been quite an interesting exercise, despite remembering the plot in a general way, I had forgotten many of the situations and creatures/characters that Alice faces. Accompanying our protagonist during this adventure is super funny, sometimes reflective, and always incoherent.

There are many theories of the meaning behind this story; that it is a parody of modern mathematics, that it speaks of the idea/existence of God, that it represents time and the nature of reality or that it is simply an interpretation of how children see the confusing world of adults.

Whichever was the original meaning Carrol intending the best advice I can give you is READ AN ANNOTATED VERSION, many of the details, references and humor requires an understanding of the social and historical context of England in the 1870s. The reality is that this story can have a personal interpretation as simple as one wants or as complex as one explores.

In conclusion, this is a totally worthwhile classic and one of my absolute favorites. A story that grows with you and that I am sure will bring other meanings when you reread it in a few years
