The actual romance doesn't start until after the 50% mark, which I didn't mind because I'm a sucker for slow burns. But at the same time, the delay till that point for this story in particular was a bit strange. A lot of bits and bobs of things happen and they all mush together to create the entire overall plot line (aside from the romance), and it just didn't fit completely right. There was a lot of action—a good chunk of which I surprisingly enjoyed—but nevertheless, it started feeling redundant.
Ian and Miro's relationship development was the thing that was coherent though, so I'm happy about that. Would recommend!
