Absolute consistency from Book 1 to the end of this book. Scott manages to end the series nicely with the least expected result for the reader. The science fiction part of this franchise gets stretched to its limits in this book but that does not take away from the end result. All in all, Scott has delivered a trilogy that makes for great reading but will be forgotten in the longer term of this genre. Highly recommended for a long flight though.
