"Ren: The moment I met her, I knew Frankie Zeferino was someone worth waiting for. Deadpan delivery, secret heart of gold, and a rare one-dimpled smile that makes my knees weak, Frankie has been forbidden since the day she and I became coworkers, meaning waiting has been the name of my game--besides, hockey, that is. I'm a player on the team, she's on staff, and as long as we work together, dating is off-limits. But patience has always been my virtue. Frankie won't be here forever--she's headed for bigger, better things. I just hope that when she leaves the team and I tell her how I feel, she won't want to leave me behind, too. Frankie: I've had a problem at work since the day Ren Bergman joined the team: a six foot three hunk of happy with a sunshine smile. I'm a grumbly grump and his ridiculously good nature drives me nuts, but even I can't entirely ignore that hot tamale of a ginger with icy eyes, the perfect playoff beard, and a body built for sin that he's annoyingly modest about. Before I got wise, I would have tripped over myself to get a guy like Ren, but with my diagnosis, I've learned what I am to most people in my life--a problem, not a person. Now, opening my heart to anyone, no matter how sweet, is the last thing I'm prepared to do."--Provided by publisher.

I loved this story so freaking much! It was sweet and funny, emotional and steamy! The slow-burn almost killed me. Chloe Liese is a new favorite author to me. Can't wait to read the next one.
4.5. I loved this disability and invisible illness positive romance! More books like this please.
4.5 stars. The best contemporary romance I have read in a long time!
Ren and Frankie are some big nerds in love, and I love them for it!
I don't read many slow burns as they exasperate me to no end, but you say hockey romance and I'll come running. It worked out pretty well in the end, I found myself rooting sooo hard for Ren and Frankie through all my face-palming and affectionate eye rolling.
These two have such strong, wildly opposite personalities, that it was surprising how nicely they came together and complement each other. I loved Ren! At first, I thought he would be a bit of a white knight (which kind of but not really lol) but he never once treated Frankie like she wasn't capable and did his best to not overstep her boundaries which was really nice to see. My favorite scenes are where Frankie and Red get more comfortable with each other and let themselves love and be loved.
Frankie is a great character as well. She's so focused on her job and showcasing the best of her team with her social media manager job. It was really fun to see her interact with the team like she was one of them and the team return that friendship.
Minor characters to note: Rob and Lorena are my favorites especially Lorena for the absolute tough love bomb she dropped towards the end of the book. I loved that show friendship, of how much she loves Frankie and wanted her to embrace to chance at good love.
Overall, Always Only You is a sweet, nerdy, authentic love story that I am happy to have read, slow burn n all
