I loved this book. The way that the author wove the history of human/buffalo interaction with his own experience hunting them kept me interested to the very end. Well researched and fascinating.

Age range: 16+
Younger readers may find the history either dry or intense, depending on their focus. The butchering scene is pretty gory.
